GENERAL INFORMATION
Flexible pronacultures are an easy and efficient alternative to the traditional methods used (cotton swabs etc.) for microbial contamination studies in liquids and/or surfaces.
The flexible pronacultures include:
1.- A transparent container to preserve the sterility of the culture medium.
2.- A flexible, two-sided tongue which enables full contact between the culture medium surface and the analysis area. You can either use the same or a different culture medium on each side, which is divided in 1cm quadrants to facilitate the direct microbial density count. The total contact surface measures 8cm²/side.
3.- Self-sticking labels to number samples.
For an easy interpretation of the number of colonies, use the following table:
Total Nº of Colonies Result Interpretation
0 Negative Absence of Growth
1 - 10 Weak positive Scarce Contamination
11 - 20 Positive Low Contamination
21 - 100 Strong Positive High Contamination
> 100 Very Strong Positive Very high contamination
Expiration date: 90 days after manufacture date.
Presentation: Box of 20 units.
Preservation and Storage: CONDA's flexible pronacultures are products designed for “in vitro diagnostics” and should be kept refrigerated between + 8ºC and + 15ºC (do not freeze). Before use, remove from refrigerator and allow to stand for 15 minutes to reach room temperature. Once opened, do not touch the Prona-Rodac plates with bare hands.
