Laboratorios CONDA has developed a new chromogenic medium: Lauryl Sulfate Chromogenic Broth (Cat. No. 1465) for the simultaneous detection of Coliforms and E.coli due to the presence of chromogenic and fluorogenic substrates in the medium.

This medium uses a double detection system through color change: from amber to greenish blue, confirming Coliform presence; and a color change to fluorescent blue, only perceptible only under UV light, confirming E.coli detection.

This chromogenic broth can be used in waters, foods and dairy products.
