CONDA adds a new medium to its chromogenic range PSEUDOMONAS CHROMOGENIC
AGAR (Cat: 1493) for the isolation of Pseudomonas through color reaction and differentiation. ![]() Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a human opportunistic pathogen which commonly affects people with reduced immunity, such as those suffering from Cystic Fibrosis or AIDS. These infections can affect many body areas, usually the respiratory tract, causing 50 % of nosocomial bacterial pneumonias. Due to the frequent and repetitive antibiotic resistance, the treatment of such infections may be difficult.
