ISO 11290

Furthering our analysis of ISO norms, CONDA now provides information on ISO 11290.

ISO 11290 specifies a horizontal method for the detection and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes in products intended for human consumption and animal feeding.

In this norm, 4 different successive stages are needed for the detection of Listeria: preenrichment, selective enrichment, seeding and identification in plates, and confirmation. CONDA has elaborated a brief ISO 11290 guide containing the different media used in this procedure, as well as information on the performance of each one to help all customers apply the ISO requirements.
