Antimicrobial susceptibility testing

The analysis of microorganism sensitivity to different antimicrobial agents is a key point in any clinical microbiology laboratory. This analysis is carried out by means of an antibiogram, the objective of which is to evaluate in a laboratory the response of a microorganism to a battery of antibiotics or antifungals.

These sensitivity tests must be conveniently standardized and subject to control processes that ensure their reproducibility. Condalab offers classic antibiotic discs with certain concentrations, as well as new strips with concentration gradients under EUCAST and CISI control.
