Agars

Agar is a polysaccharide that can be found in some marine alga cell walls, where it unites various plant tissue cells. Condalab's agar is obtained from those species that provide a better performance to its qualities, such as Gelidium algae.

Agar is the gelling agent in solid culture media. It does not interfere with its characteristics or with microorganism growth.
